SA/D
42.9
Performance
Powered up for speed; expect more sail handling in a breeze.
D/L
50.3
Ultralight
Very light displacement, typically race-oriented.
Comfort ratio
4.5
Coastal cruiser
Motion will feel quick/lively offshore.
Stability factor
15.8
Reef threshold
Estimated wind speed (~16mph) at which this boat should reduce sail, from beam, displacement, sail area, and center-of-effort height. Multihull-specific; higher is more stable.
Kelsall sailing performance
1.2
~11.8kt in a 10kt breeze
Kelsall Sailing Performance Number: roughly predicts boat speed as this fraction of true wind speed. Multihull-specific.

Construction

Sources

Dimensions/displacement (light; max load 26,456 lb)/sail area (mainsail + solent, per the builder's own general-specifications sheet) confirmed against a Yachting World review, which independently gives the waterline length as 17.7m/58.07ft against the same 18.1m/59.3ft LOA. Folding akas give the huge 38.4 ft sailing beam; amas fold in for marina berthing/shipping. Construction is a lightweight carbon/E-glass composite with vinylester and epoxy PVC foam-sandwich skins per the builder, but all primary structural elements -- akas (beams), daggerboard, rudder blade, chainplates, bulkheads -- are explicitly prepreg epoxy carbon, so classified hull_material/resin as carbon_fiber/epoxy for the structural build. Carbon rotating mast and boom. Conceived by Rapido co-founder Paul Koch (ex-Corsair Marine), designed by Morrelli & Melvin, built by Triac Composites, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Verified 2026-07-12. [Rudder/tankage/electrical update, 2026-07-16]: Single carbon rudder blade on the central hull (CNC-milled, autoclave-cured prepreg carbon), Jefa custom steering with autopilot drive -- consistent with this dataset's existing note that the rudder blade is explicitly prepreg epoxy carbon fiber, same as the boat's other primary structural elements. Fuel and water both 450L/~118.9gal.
