Sources

This refers to the original 1980-1985 Ron Holland-designed Swan 42 (38 hulls built), based on the 1979 Admiral's Cup design 'Regardless', not the later 2006-2013 Club Swan 42 (Frers design) which is a different boat. Dimensions/displacement/sail area per boat-specs.com. Hull/deck GRP glass-reinforced polyester with wood trim; fin keel without bulb. Masthead sloop rig, keel-stepped aluminum mast, two sets of unswept spreaders. Verified 2026-07-09. [Rudder/tankage/electrical update, 2026-07-16]: Internally-mounted spade rudder (construction material not independently confirmed). No reliable fuel/water tank capacity found specifically for the original 1980-1985 Swan 42 (only data for the unrelated Swan 441 turned up, not used here). No holding-tank or electrical-system data found.
