Dimensions per Antares' own specifications page (LOA 44.0ft/13.6m, LWL 43'6"/43.5ft/13.3m, beam 21'9"/21.75ft/6.6m, draft 4.0ft/1.2m). Antares publishes two displacement figures -- light 19,500 lbs and loaded 'cruising' 23,700 lbs; light is used here for consistency with how this dataset otherwise treats base/light-ship figures (sailboatdata.com independently lists 22,500 lbs, likely a half-load estimate, in between the two). Sail plan per the builder: main 614 sqft + genoa 472 sqft (genoa used as this dataset's 'jib' field) = 1,086 sqft total upwind; a smaller 243 sqft jib is also offered but not separately trackable here, and a 732 sqft screecher (off-wind reaching sail) is tracked as the 'spinnaker' field. Hull/deck construction is tri-axial fiberglass over isophthalic-acid (polyester-family) resin with a 100% vinylester outer skin coat for blister resistance -- classified hull_layup_resin as polyester, the majority/structural resin, matching this dataset's convention for skin-coat construction (see also Rapido 60). Cored with 3/4in Corecell foam above the waterline and in the deck; solid fiberglass below the waterline. Mast is a deck-stepped, anodized-aluminum Selden spar with in-mast furling (double diamond stays); no carbon mast option found. Standard keels are fixed twin fins with a sacrificial (crash-absorbing) lower section -- classified as 'fin' rather than 'mini_keel' since the builder's own material specifically says fin, not mini/shoal keel. Rudders are skeg-hung. Twin shaft-drive Yanmar diesels (40hp each). Tank capacities per the builder: 120 gal fuel, 150 gal water, 2x30gal (60 gal total) holding/waste. First built 2003 (design evolved from the earlier PDQ Antares 42 after PDQ ceased sailboat production in 2002); still in production today across 44i/44 GT/44 Hybrid variants, so left year_end null.
